Making all icons on the desktop invisible

* Click the Start button.
* Click Run
* In the Open field type regedit and click OK.
* Once you are in the Registry Editor, navigate your way to the following folders:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

* Once there, right-click the right side of the screen.
* Select New and click DWORD Value.
* Name it "NoDesktop" (without quotes)
* Now, double click on it and in the Value section type "1" (without quotes).
* Click OK.
* Now, exit and restart your computer
