Making all icons on the desktop invisible

* Click the Start button. * Click Run * In the Open field type regedit and click OK. * Once you are in the Registry Editor, navigate your way to the following folders: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\ Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Policies\\Explorer * Once there, right-click the right side of the screen. * Select New and click DWORD Value. * Name it \"NoDesktop\" (without quotes) * Now, double click on it and in the Value section type \"1\" (without quotes). * Click OK. * Now, exit and restart your computer.
